Fall picture day is coming up on Wednesday, September 27, at the Sycamore Community Center. Your picture time is 5:30. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early. No cleats are allowed inside the gym. We will be lining up outside unless it's raining, so please dress for the weather. 

You can only purchase pictures online. There will be no money or order forms collected on picture day. Please see the information below for ordering instructions.

If you don't know your scheduled picture time, please check with your coach/teacher. Props will not be provided on picture day. With that being said, please make sure your athlete provides their own. Good Afternoon Softball Families!

SCHEDULE UPDATES & REMINDERS:

• PRACTICES ADDED TO THE SCHEDULE:  Our schedule has been updated on the website.  No changes to games at this time, only practices.  We have practices scheduled from 5:15pm - 6:45pm on field #6 for every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday that we do not have games, up until the end of the season (which is 10/21).  Colder weather is quickly approaching, which greatly increases the chances of having to cancel.  And I've found over the years that it's much easier to have the field time reserved and not need it, rather than trying to add it in last minute!

• MAKE-UP GAME: We are working with the Britz/Olson team, along with the league, to reschedule our game that was cancelled last week on 9/12.  We hope to have that taken care of soon, and will keep you updated on that.  Every effort is being made to schedule it for a day that both teams are already scheduled for a practice, in hopes to prevent having to play a double header.  So, fingers crossed, we can make that happen!  Please let us know if there are any Tuesdays/Thursdays/Saturdays that your daughter will not be available for a game between now and the end of the season.  We understand that fall is a busy time with school and other activites, and would like to accomodate as best as we can.

• PICTURE DAY IS NEXT WEDNESDAY, 9/27!  I have not seen the exact time for our team yet, but expect to hear thata soon.  For those families that are new to SGS this year --> the times are usually somewhere between 4:00pm and 7:00pm, and usually don't take any longer than 30 minutes.​

OTHER INFO:

• BIG THANKS to all the girls on making Graycen feel welome and part of our team on Saturday!  The playing conditions were not ideal, and rather annoying!  But none of them complained (to us coaches or in our earshot, anyhow!) and they played a great game.  SO PROUD OF THEM ALL!!  Such a bummer we couldn't pull out a W, but we saw everyone do something better than they did the day before.  They all continue to show growth and improvement each time we see them.  So to us, that's the biggest win at this age level!

• FINAL THOUGHTS - Fall ball season is much shorter than the spring, and we are already at the halfway point!  This team is such an awesome group of girls and we are so thankful for having the opportunity to get to know them all!  It's been exciting to see each of the girls progress over the past month, especially with the short amount of time we've had to practice.  We are excited to see what the back half of the season brings for each of them!  We understand that it can be hectic some days juggling work, school, other kids' activities, shuttling them to and from practice, late evening meals, etc!  So, THANK YOU for your continued support at home and the sacrifices being made, by you and your families, that allow your daughter to be a member of our team this fall!  We hope they are enjoying it just as much as we are :-)  See you all at our next practice this Thursday @ 5:15pm on field #6!
